Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a special issue titled "Cutting-Edge Research on Musculoskeletal Health in Older Population" in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. As our global population ages, the significance of musculoskeletal health in older adults becomes increasingly evident. Musculoskeletal disorders not only diminish quality of life but also pose significant challenges to healthcare systems worldwide. This special issue aims to highlight cutting-edge research focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal conditions in older adults.

We invite researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to contribute original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that address key issues related to musculoskeletal health in older adults. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: age-related changes in bone density and muscle mass, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, musculoskeletal pain conditions, falls and fractures, novel interventions and rehabilitation strategies, physical activity and the impact of lifestyle factors on musculoskeletal health.

By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and disseminating novel findings, this special issue seeks to advance our understanding of musculoskeletal health in older adults and facilitate the development of evidence-based interventions to promote healthy aging. We encourage researchers to submit their manuscripts for consideration, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in this critical area of public health.
