Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Authors have resubmitted the previous manuscript on  a method of realizing a DC-AC transformer or an inverter.

The resubmitted manuscript resolves most of the issues in the original manuscript. The following is this reviewer's comments.

1.  The title contains '...improving voltage transfer ratio...'.

There is no detailed description on how the voltage transfer ratio has been improved.

The voltage transfer ratio is not even defined. Maybe authors mean the THD reduction.

Please resolve the issue. This is the issue I have raised in the original manuscript.

2. Spectral plots if Figures 12 to 14.

1) Please check the spectral plots in Figures 12(b), 13(b) to 13(d), and 14(b) to 14(d). They should have a large magnitude at the fundmenta 5 kHz and a smaller magnitude at harmonic frequencies.

2) Please use a logarithmic scale for the frequency axis so that magnitudes of harmonics can be seen. After all this paper is about the reduction of THD.

3. Improve figures to journal quality. Increase fonts and figure size in Figures 2(a), 9, 10, 13 , and 14.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript entitled “Research on Two Improved High Voltage Transfer Ratio SVPWM Strategies Applying to Five-phase Inverter” focuses on the design of two space voltage pulse width modulation (SVPWM) to improve the quality of current and voltage signal. The authors stated that the proposed strategy delivers lower output voltage error and total harmonic distortion. The theoretical results were correlated with real experimental measurements showing that the implemented algorithm is a feasible pathway to control de output in a five-phase inverter. By reviewing the complete manuscript it was observed some issues that need to be addressed before being considered for publishing in the Electronics Journal.

Comments

1) Please check the title some works do not link

2) In the abstract, some terms were used and not defined, SVPWM, and THD. Moreover, the redaction is not easy to follow considering the repeated words.

3) The introduction is well-written but the author does not mention the existence of similar materials reported in the literature

4) Highlight the novelty of this work

5) Add references for Equation 1 and Table 1

6) The quality of Figure 5 is too low.

7) Add reference for equations 14, 19 and 27.

8) Figure 10, can't be considered in the present condition, as low quality.

9) Add more information about the semi-physical and real experimental platforms.

10) Add a comparative table with the result reported in the literature

11) Add perspective and future work

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

After checking the modified manuscript “Research on Two Improved High Voltage Transfer Ratio SVPWM Strategies Applying to Five-phase Inverter” it was observed that the authors addressed all the comments and suggestions. From my point of view, this document can be attractive for emerging energy devices. I consider that the submitted version of the document has the quality to be considered for publishing in the Electronics Journal. I hope this research helps practitioners and engineers in the application and development of this kind of technology.
