Reproductive Cells and Development
A section of Cells (ISSN 2073-4409).
Section Information
The “Reproductive Cells and Development” section of Cells aims to stimulate research that focuses on the understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms that drive reproductive cell differentiation and gamete quality and development in humans and animals. We welcome manuscripts, including original research, review articles, communications, and technical notes, which are of significant interest to the broad field of reproductive and developmental biology.
Examples of topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fertility preservation
- Sperm physiology
- Oocyte and ovary biology
- Germ cell development
- Genetics and epigenetics of reproductive aging
- Single-cell genomics of reproduction and development
- Fetal origin of aging and diseases
- Pluripotent stem cells
- Placenta development and feto-placental communication
- Regultion of fertility
