Nutritional Epidemiology
A section of Nutrients (ISSN 2072-6643).
Section Information
The Section “Nutritional Epidemiology” aims to publish contributions on the impact of food consumption and nutritional status on different health aspects. Papers should provide new knowledge from descriptive cross-sectional studies to those studies contributing to prevent the appearance of nutrition-related diseases, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular diseases and other conditions such as fragility or mental health. Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will consider manuscripts dealing with epidemiologic studies on environmental risk factors and prognostic determinants in COVID-19 patients. We also encourage the submission of manuscripts providing etiologic studies, performed in large cohorts, multicenter studies, and international collaborations. Randomized clinical trials assessing the effect of food consumption and the effectiveness of health promotion interventions will receive special attention.
