Young Investigator Award
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Sustainability 2023 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Amos Darko.
Dr. Amos Darko is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Construction Management at the University of Washington. Dr. Amos Darko’s research interests are sustainability, sustainable built environment, sustainable construction, green building, modular and offsite construction, project management, and digital technologies including building information modeling and artificial intelligence. Dr. Amos Darko received his PhD in 2019, and Dr. Darko has published numerous papers in leading international peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and books. His papers have been rated as highly cited and hot papers by the Web of Science. Dr. Amos Darko’s Hirsch index is 36. He is clearly a rising star in the field of sustainability. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Amos Darko on his outstanding achievements.
As the awardee, Dr. Amos Darko will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before April 2025 in Sustainability after peer review, and an electronic certificate.

Eligibility and Requirements
− Must have received their PhD no more than 10 years prior to 30 April 2024;− Must have produced ground-breaking research and made a significant contribution to the advancement of sustainability and sustainable development;
− Candidates must be nominated by senior scientists.

− Detailed Curriculum Vitae, including an updated publication list and a list of the researcher’s own research grants;− Scanned copy of doctorate certificate;
− Signed nomination letters from two established senior scientists.
