Dear Colleagues,
In this edition, we are looking to publish cutting-edge research into new biomaterials, with a specific focus on polyfunctionality. The development of new biomaterials with antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral properties presents our lines of research. Discussions should highlight the effects of these materials on the human body, their anti-inflammatory properties, their capacity to control destruction via mediation with MMps, and other more interesting perspectives such as their anticancer effect. Research at the molecular, cellular, in vitro or clinical level is welcome for inclusion in this Special Issue.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
