Abstract
Various diselenides 1 – 8 have been examined with respect to their glutathione peroxidase-like activities (GPx-activities) as an index of their antioxidant properties. The glutathione oxidase activities of these compounds have also been reviewed reflecting the pro-oxidant properties (GOx-activities) and could be used [...] Read more.
Various diselenides 1 – 8 have been examined with respect to their glutathione peroxidase-like activities (GPx-activities) as an index of their antioxidant properties. The glutathione oxidase activities of these compounds have also been reviewed reflecting the pro-oxidant properties (GOx-activities) and could be used as an index of cell toxicity. Based on a qualitative structure-activity relationship some trends are suggested. Full article
