During my varied professional experience in different industries I have previously edited a number of trade magazines and newsletters. I also organized many corporate events and trade fairs. 100 days ago I took over the position as the Assistant Editor of the journal Sensors. During this time I have worked myself into the world of sensing and tried to offer a high standard of editorial work to authors, editors and referees. Meanwhile, the mission I commenced has become my passion and hobby. As one of my most significant achievements, I have managed to reduce the average time between submission and acceptance of a paper from 50 to 33 days. This would have not been possible without all of you and the great expertise and know-how I have obtained from Dr. Shu-Kun Lin, Mr. Dietrich Rordorf and the appreciated members of the Editorial Board.
Looking ahead there is still a lot to do and I am ready to take on the challenge to make Sensors one of the leading publications in its field. To reach this goal I need your continuing assistance and advice. Let us say together: “Sensors makes sense in the journal Sensors”.
I am very pleased to continue working for this exciting project and looking forward to intensifying our partnerships. Thank you very much.
