Indoor navigation and evacuation training

Welcome to our experiment on indoor navigation and evacuation training. The experiment is a part of the diploma and bachelor theses of students of Geographical Cartography and Geoinformatics at Masaryk University in Brno. During the experiment you will be monitored by an eye tracking device - Eye Tracker. The data measured during the experiment will be anonymized. You are in a meeting room in the building of the Masaryk University Headquarters in Brno. Your task will be to get to the evacuation area of gathering using designated route, which you will first learn using specially prepared virtual tour.

Controls of the virtual tours are about the same as in the virtual tour of the questionnaire you filled in at home. Virtual tour begins in the room you are in, and then using green markers, you can move forward to the route destination. Using red markers you can return back in the virtual tour.

Please be careful during learning and try to remember the route, including main points, which you will use for orientation. After the virtual tour ends, please do not leave the room, we'll do a brief interview with you first and set up a mobile Eye Tracker that will measure your eye movement activity during the actual passage of the route.
