Founding Editor-in-Chief of Photonics Nelson Tansu elected Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors

Congratulations to Nelson Tansu, who has been named a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Election to NAI Fellow status is "the highest professional distinction accorded to academic inventors who have demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society."

Dr. Tansu is Lehigh University's Daniel E. '39 and Patricia M. Smith Endowed Chair Professor in Photonics and Nanoelectronics, and Director of the University's Center for Photonics and Nanoelectronics. He is also the Founding Editor in Chief of Photonics, which is an open-access and rapid publication journal in optical sciences and engineering.
