The scientific and international N.I.C.E. (Nature Inspires Chemistry Engineers) Conferences are organized with the objective to share new developments in the growing field of bioinspired chemistry and materials and to understand new challenges that are being faced in this field of research. The NICE conference encompasses chemistry, biology and physics and gives a multi-disciplinary overview of biomimetic approaches to engineering new materials and systems.
Amongst the topics discussed at the conference: green chemistry, nanomaterials, renewable energy, stimuli-responsive materials, adhesive/anti-adhesive materials, functional polymers, biobased chemistry and materials. These topics are grouped in three main sessions: SmartTech, NanoTech and BioTech.
The conference takes place every two years in Nice (France) and gathers together researchers, managers, manufacturer and decision-makers with different backgrounds. The conference promotes,the exchange of ideas, open discussion of current research problems and the development of new ideas and collaborations aimed at finding eco-friendly, green, sustainable solutions to materials challenges that will have a lasting impact for generations.
