Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The 2017 Immunotherapies for Infectious Diseases congress (I4ID2017), organized by the Technical Research Institute in Microbiology, BIOASTER and MabDesign, a French non-profit association supporting the economic development of the French industrial sector in the field of immunotherapy, will be held in Lyon, France, 11–12 December, 2017. The main purpose of this two-day congress is to promote the use of immunotherapies for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, while fostering interactions between pharmaceutical industries, research labs or academic facilities, service providers, and technology developers. To this end, the scientific committee has set-up an exciting program, including keynote lectures, pitch-talks on new creative projects, and industrial presentations from big pharmaceutical companies, together with several opportunities for networking and dedicated time for business partnering.

Basically, the conferences will focus on immunotherapy against viral infections, immunotherapy as alternative treatment to antibiotics, immunotherapy against emergent or re-emergent and bioterrorism agents, next-generation immunotherapy against infectious diseases, and a cross-talk about challenges for access to immunotherapies in emerging countries.
