Dear Colleagues,

It goes without saying that mobile phones face more threats than ever, targeting the availability of their service and the confidentiality and integrity of users’ data and communications.

The purpose, therefore, of this Special Issue is to examine mobile phone attacks, countermeasures, privacy enhancing technologies and forensics methods and tools, both in theory and in practice. Interested authors are encouraged to submit previously unpublished contributions in all areas of mobile phone security, focusing (indicatively) on users, mobile devices, hardware/software/OS, applications, radio access, core network and services.
