With every announcement for our next conference, I am full of emotion because even now, years after the loss of my beloved husband Professor Gerard Siest, the Santorini Conferences series continues. Our passion, determination, and commitment to never stop are always present as a tribute to this endeavor.
The appreciation you show goes beyond all expectations concerning the effort to keep the Santorini Conferences active, and interactions through these events make us enthusiastic and simultaneously increase our responsibility towards all of you.
Our next conference will take place in Santorini on May 21-24, 2024. For this next event and all subsequent ones, we anticipate your dynamic presence.
Our previous conference in 2022 was the most successful one yet, and it was highly praised, with amazing participants who showcased their innovative work.
I will hold our next conference with the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) and the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM).
This will be a high-standard conference full of events and presentations with respect to cutting-edge research on personalised medicine. We will be awarding EUR 500 for the Best Posters (Gerard SIEST Awards); more precisely, the following awards provide EUR 500 each: the “IFCC Gerard SIEST Poster Award” and “EFLM Gerard SIEST Poster Award". All selected abstracts by the Abstracts Committee will be published online (free access) in the Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (CCLM) journal.
