New Trends in Carbonic Anhydrases' Research

New Trends in Carbonic Anhydrases' Research will take place on May 24–27th in Montecatini Terme (Italy).
The programme of the conference includes lectures from some of the most distinguished scientists from all over the world, working on various aspects of CA research. A balance between the consolidated, well-known contributors to the field, as well as the “new entries” who produced important, break-through discoveries in the last years will be considered from the organizers when inviting the speakers. A large number of posters will be also presented, considering the fact that only a limited number of speakers could be invited, due to time and space limits. The main topics, as usually will focus on:
1) Comparative aspects of new CA families and isozymes
2) Regulation of expression of CA isoforms and their physiologic consequences
3) CAs as drug and diagnostic targets
4) Roles of CAs in diseases
5) CAs in plants, bacteria, corals and other organisms
