Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The concept of green manufacturing is all about asking the question: how can we recycle/transform waste materials into value-added resources? This is one of the major challenges for society. As products become more and more complex—mixed plastics, e-waste and auto waste as examples—we now have the scenario where you cannot just go back to the traditional form of recycling. By using waste and end-of-life products, such as raw materials in green manufacturing, we will be able to deliver previously unimaginable solutions to the growing economic and environmental burden of waste.

The focus of this Special Issue is on the recycling and transformation of ‘waste’ into value-added materials and associated development of green manufacturing. We are looking for papers that demonstrate scientific research and development, balanced by real world, innovative outcomes for industry. Contributions in this domain should be of the highest quality, reporting research data balanced by outcomes. All papers submitted should therefore be written in direct response to this brief, providing both scientific fundamentals on waste recycling and their potential applications. I believe the future of manufacturing is smart, agile, and green.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Recycling is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
