The Lehigh University Philosophy Department welcomes abstracts concerning any aspect of the philosophical work of -- or about -- women during the Early Modern Period. We are looking forward to proposals related to any field of philosophy -- from metaphysics and epistemology to ethics, aesthetics, political theory, and philosophy of religion. We are interested both in proposals that are primarily historical and in those that emphasize the contemporary relevance of texts from this period. Keynote Speakers: Karen Detlefsen University of Pennsylvania Marcy Lascano California State University, Long Beach Submission Deadline July 17, 2017 Electronic submissions of abstracts (350 words) should be in Word or pdf format.
