Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The 25th Symposium on Electromagnetic Phenomena in Nonlinear Circuits (EPNC 2018) will be held in Arras, France, 26–29 June, 2018, at the campus of the Artois University, Arras, France.

The aim of the symposium is to present recent advances in the analysis and synthesis of nonlinear electric and magnetic circuits and nonlinear optics, as well as to provide a forum for discussion on applications of nonlinear phenomena in electrical engineering.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles, as well as review articles, to this Special Issue. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Ferromagnetics and Magnetic Circuits.
Theory and application of nonlinear phenomena in ferromagnetic elements and structures containing elements.
Electromagnetic field calculation in nonlinear problems.
Modeling of material properties and the numerical treatment of hysteresis, anisotropy and permanent magnets.
  2. Semiconductors and Nonlinear Electric Circuits.
    Electric circuits with nonlinear elements.
Modeling and control of power electronic devices and converters.
Modeling and simulation of nonlinear electronic elements and systems with such elements.
  3. Nonlinear Optics and Wave Propagation.
    Nonlinear optical phenomena and devices.
    Modeling of nonlinear space–time electrodynamics.
Modeling of nonlinearities in optical waveguides.
  4. Nonlinear Electromagnetic Problems in Medicine
    Electromagnetic devices in medicine.
Inverse electromagnetic problems in medicine and human tissue modeling for electromagnetic simulation.
Electromagnetic fields in diagnostics and therapy.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
