Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Endoscopic sinus surgery is widely practiced across the globe and is most often indicated in the management of chronic rhinosinusitis. Quality of life assessment has an important role in defining treatment criteria and assessing treatment responses in both research and clinical practice. Early research into the outcomes from endoscopic sinus surgery attempted to utilize traditional objective measures such as imaging and physical examination findings, as well as non-validated symptom reporting. Over the past decade, the role for measuring outcomes with validated, patient-reported quality of life assessments has become clearer. This Special Issue will include contemporary research into the relationships between patient-centered outcomes and surgical management of sinonasal disease. Clinical and translational research, systematic reviews, diagnostic studies and epidemiologic studies including this topic are particularly encouraged.
