About Systems

Aims

Systems (ISSN 2079-8954) is an international, peer-reviewed journal on systems theory in practice, including fields such as systems engineering management, systems-based project planning, intelligent cities, intelligent planning, health systems, transportation systems, digital systems, environmental management, and complex social systems. We publish original research papers, comprehensive reviews, and communications. Within these fields of systems, we seek papers that emphasize the systems nature of these domains, where we look at systems as interrelated elements that form a unified whole where the system is influenced by its environment and described by its boundaries. Papers, therefore, should engage this nature of systems and not be focused on one narrow or singular aspect of a system.

We aim to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided.

There are, in addition, unique features of this journal:

  • manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed,
  • electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure—if unpublishable in a normal way—can be deposited as supplementary material.
