Comments on “Available PAR, Leaf Area Index, Canopy Growth, Yield and Harvesting Efficiencies of a Young Super High-Density Almond Orchard in Relation to Different Row Orientations”:

In general, this manuscript is clearly written and well organized. I have only a few minor comments:

1.      The title should be more concise, could be “Available PAR, Leaf Area Index, Canopy Growth, Yield and Harvesting Efficiencies” expressed by a general term?

2.      The first paragraph of the introduction, too much redundant content, just quickly go to your research topics.

3.      I think Fig.1 is not necessarily needed.

4.      It would be great if you have hypotheses that match the aims.

5.      More site descriptions should be provided, like MAP...

6.      Table 2, LAI (m2m-2), it is unitless right?

7.      I strongly recommend that the authors convert the indicators related to biomass (e.g. Hulled fruit yield in g tree-1, fruit number n) into kg ha-1 or other forms that are easy to compare with other studies.

 

8.      The letter in the figures makes me confused. Maybe you can use uppercase and lowercase letters to represent the SNK results within different comparisons.
