Modeling Rainwater Harvesting and Storage Dynamics of Rural Impoundments in Dry Chaco Rangelands
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Dear Authors,
This manuscript belog to hydrological studies on a microlocation and including some human intervention but using scientific principles and tools. Thus, manuscript topic belongs to Water Journal scope, with emphahised application aspect of Hydrology using empirical data.
The paper showed a significant correlation between "weather" variables (as drivers like precipitation amounts and air temperature) with hydrological variables (water level or quantity of water in impoundments) which can be used for some practical applications like for climate change adaptation. But, still, every day forecasting (for early warning system) are still open topic and represent a second part of the same story. Operational Numerical Weather Prediction and Hydrological prediction model outputs could be good enter for these empirical "hydro-meteorological" model. This should be mentioned in the conclusion.
A number of suggestions is given in “pdf” of the manuscript.
This paper I can recommend for publication in Water after minor corrections.

Dear Authors,
Congratulations on the excellent study carried out. Some suggestions and considerations follow in the file to improve the quality of the study. But, I emphasize that in the discussion of the results it needs more references and in the results it needs statistics to broaden the discussions.
