Well-written paper. Details are enough and the scope of the research is clear and well-addressed. While I would have liked to see more analytical methods applied to this research, from imaging and spectroscopy, on the other hand, I understand that the value of such a research methodology, I mean using low-cost tools, is to make it applicable by standard conservation laboratories. So, I did not suggest making further tests with other analytical and imaging tools, though I was tempted to.
