Pavel Novoa-Hernández currently works as a postdoc researcher in the Models of Decision and Optimization Research Group (University of Granada, Spain). He also worked as an Associate Professor at the Escuela de Ciecias Empresariales, the Universidad Católica del Norte (Coquimbo, Chile) from 2020 to 2022. He attained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineer from the University of Holguín (Cuba, 2007). He obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Central University of Las Villas (Cuba, 2010). In 2013, he received a Doctorate (Ph.D) in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Granada (Spain). He was an Assistant Professor at the University of Holguín for the period 2007-2015 and Associate Professor at the State Technical University of Quevedo for 2015-2019. His research interests include technology enhanced education and soft computing, particularly evolutionary dynamic optimization.
