Prof. Ying Li is the Director of the Department of Food Science and Engineering at Jinan University. He holds a PhD in Green Chemistry of Natural Products from Avignon University in France. He has long been engaged in the research, development and application of green extraction and high value-added processing of biowastes like oil cake and pomace, as well as in the research on the discovery of bio-based alternative solvents and their dissolving mechanisms.
Dr. Anne-Sylvie Fabiano-Tixier, Senior Lecturer in Chemistry, is an Assistant Professor of the INRAE at Avignon University. Her research activities focus on the extraction of natural products with innovative techniques (ultrasound, microwave and green solvents). The extracts obtained from these techniques meet a growing demand for natural extracts which can be used in food, cosmetics and phytotherapy.
