Dr. Gordon Chun-Kau Chan is now an Analyst Programmer
(Network Management) at the Hospital Authority Head Office. He is mainly
responsible for executing the process of network service requests and assisting
in developing related workflows and procedures. In addition, he also assists in
managing network infrastructure projects and supports the development and
implementation of IT innovation initiatives. He has many years of work
experience in the industry of healthcare information technology. Before joining
the Hospital Authority Head Office, he was an Analyst Programmer (Technical
Operations) at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, an Assistant Hospital Manager (Information
Technology) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, a Programmer at Tseung Kwan O
Hospital, and a Contract System Analyst of the Hospital Authority Network Team.
Furthermore, he has worked in other organizations for many years on IT support and
system administration. Additionally, concerning his qualifications, he has
a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in
Information Systems, and various professional qualifications such as PMI Project
Management Professional (PMP) and the AMIA Certificate in Applied Clinical
Informatics. Lastly, he is also a Professional Member of the British
Computer Society (BCS).
