Cristiano Marcelo Espinola Carvalho holds a degree in veterinary medicine, along with a Master's and a Doctorate degree in cellular and molecular biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. He served as the coordinator of the master's and doctorate programs in biotechnology, the coordinator of research, a member of the CEP, CEUA, and CIBio scientific committees of the Catholic University Dom Bosco-UCDB, and as state coordinator of the doctorate program in biotechnology and biodiversity of the Pró-Centro-West Network. He is currently serving as the pro-rector of research and graduate studies at the Catholic University of Dom Bosco and is the leader of the biotechnology applied to health research group. He has experience in the area of veterinary medicine, with an emphasis on animal health ( sanitary programs), working mainly on the following topics: Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, and babesiosis.
Maria Lígia Rodrigues Macedo graduated in biological sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (1986), with a Master's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from UFC (1990), and with a PhD in Biological Sciences (molecular biology) from the Paulista School of Medicine-UNIFESP (1993). She has held post-doctoral positions with UNICAMP (1998–2000) and ESALq (2012–2014), as a researcher with CNPq since 1995, and as a full professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) since 2005. She is an accredited professor for health sciences and development at Midwest UFMS, plant biology (UFMS), biochemistry and molecular biology (Multicentric-SBPC), biotechnology (UFMS), and pharmaceutical sciences (UFMS). She was coordinator of the graduate program in biochemistry and molecular biology (Multicentric-SBBq) (2014–2016). She also served as the coordinator of the biological sciences course (1994–1996) and as head of the department of natural sciences at UFMS (1997–1999). She is a member of the Brazilian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq), the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC), and the Research Foundation-of Flanders (FWO). She has served as the director of the faculty of pharmaceutical sciences, food, and nutrition at UFMS for the period of 2017–2020. She is currently the pro-rector of research and postgraduate at UFMS. She has experience in the area of biochemistry and biotechnology, with an emphasis on protein biochemistry.
Ludovico Migliolo is currently a PQ2 fellow in the area of biotechnology and a founding partner of Selkis Biotech. He has been approved for the incubation process 01/2021 of the Catholic University Dom Bosco, focused on the biochemical characterization and commercialization of animal toxins. He holds a degree in biological sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2005), a Master’s degree in biochemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2008), and a PhD in genotomies and biotechnology from the Catholic University of Brasília (2012). He has experience in the areas of biochemistry, biophysics, and bioinformatics, with an emphasis on the purification of proteins and natural and synthetic peptides, the molecular modeling of protective structures and peptides, protein-protein interaction studies, peptide-protein interaction, peptide-DNA interaction, biological peptide-methodine studies, research on circular dichroism, and spectrometry. He was a PNPD CAPES scholarship holder during his post-doctoral studies in the area of biotechnology at the Catholic University of Brasília for 2 years.
