Jung-Eun Park is an Associate Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Chungnam National University. She received her DVM, Master’s, and PhD degrees in Philosophy at the Chungnam National University in 2007, 2009, and 2012, respectively. Her research goal is to understand virus entry mechanisms and to develop vaccines and diagnostics against viruses. For the study, she employed coronaviruses, enveloped RNA viruses that can enter cells by fusion with endosomal membranes or plasma membranes, depending on the presence of proteases. This study will provide how cells interfere with virus entry.
