Author Biographies

Prof. Paolo Renna is an associate professor at the School of Engineering of Basilicata University (Italy). He received a Laurea degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Basilicata in 2000. He received a Ph.D. from the Polytechnic of Bari in Advanced Production Systems in 2004. He taught Manufacturing Technology and Quality Management from 2002 to 2003 and from 2005 to 2006 and has taught Manufacturing Technology and Integrated Production Systems since 2005. His scientific activity concerns the negotiation models for scheduling problems in manufacturing systems; coalition management in e-business applications based on game theory; and capacity-sharing problems in distributed network enterprises. In these fields, he is the author of over 100 publications, mainly within international journals and conference writings. He is responsible for several research activities of fellow researchers and Ph.D. students and has participated in several research projects within the COFIN program.
