Rocio Salceda is a Full Time Professor and a Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Sciences, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Mexico. Her research interests are retinal physiology and diabetic retinopathy. The main interest of her group is the determination of the factors involved in cell communication between RPE and neural retina. The techniques they use include the determination of enzymatic activities, subcellular fractionation, and immunohistochemistry.
