Mr. Aristeidis Mystakidis is a PhD candidate in Data Science for Smart Cities at the International Hellenic University, School of Science and Technology. He holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace. Other postgraduate studies include a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Operations Research from the University of Macedonia and a Master of Science (MSc) focused on Mobile/Web Computing from International Hellenic University. Since September 2021, he has been an Artificial Intelligence Research Associate/Data Scientist at the Centre for Research and Technology, Hellas (CERTH), Information Technologies Institute (ITI), and International Hellenic University, usually working on H2020 research projects regarding Smart infrastructure and Energy Forecasting. Other research interests and skills include Python, SQL, Java, data mining, machine learning, computer vision, optical character recognition, system analysis, operational research, and analytics.
Mr. Nikolaos Tsalikidis holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in
Mechanical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a
specialization in Energy, Environment and Anti-pollution Technologies. He also
holds an MSc in Data Science from the International Hellenic University, where
his dissertation was titled ‘Data mining/Machine Learning for Smart House
infrastructure’. In his professional life, he joined EMISIA SA as a research
engineer. He has been involved in projects related to environmental impact
assessments, policy making and emission modelling activities concerning road
transport emissions sponsored by the European Commission and European
Environment Agency (EEA). He joined CERTH/ITI in February 2023 as a research
associate, and his research interests revolve around data related to the energy
efficiency of the built environment and the integration of IoT/Smart technologies.
Dimosthenis Ioannidis is a
senior researcher at the Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). He
received his Ph.D. in privacy-aware human presence and movement analysis in
controlled and uncontrolled environments from the Faculty of Engineering,
Computer Engineering, and Informatics at the University of Patras in 2017. He
has also been involved in more than 30 research projects funded by the EC and
the Greek Secretariat for Research and Technology (GRT). His main research
interests include computer vision, linguistic algorithms, web services, visual
analytics, IoT platform development, and security ecosystems.
