Dr. Ronald Cornet holds a position as associate professor, principal investigator, and principal educator at the Department of Medical Informatics in the Amsterdam Public Health Research Institute, Amsterdam UMC. He leads a research group on "reusable health data", in which research focuses on semantic interoperability, both from a technical perspective and from a users' point of view, as a key component of establishing FAIR data for healthcare and research. He is involved in health care information standardisation as a member of the Dutch, European (CEN), and global (ISO) standardisation committees on health informatics. He is also involved in SNOMED International, which is responsible for the maintenance and further development of SNOMED CT. He chairs the IMIA working group on Language and Meaning in Biomedicine, and participates in various international projects: European Joint Programme Rare Diseases (EJP-RD), CAPABLE, LEAPfROG, PaLaDIn, and C4C.
Anando Sen is a Data Scientist for the Conect4children project (John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Center). He completed his PhD in Mathematics in 2012 at the University of Houston. He has since held postdoctoral positions at the University of Houston (Biomedical Engineering) and Columbia University (Biomedical Informatics). Most recently, he was a Research Investigator (Imaging Physics) at MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research involves developing mathematical models for various applications in healthcare—particularly medical imaging and clinical trials. The models are implemented in fifth-generation programming languages and are accompanied by rigorous validations, statistical analysis, and error reporting.
Adriana Ceci is a Professor of Paediatrics at the Aldo Moro University of Bari, with a PhD in Paediatrics and a PhD in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology. She was a past member of the Italian Ministry of Health—Commissione Unica del Farmaco and of the Paediatric Committee at EMA. She is president of the Scientific Committee of INCIIPIT, the Italian network of paediatric research and a member of scientific boards of TEDDY and many other research projects at national and international levels; Scientific Counselor of the Thalassemia Foundation ‘L. Giambrone’ Board.
