Christine M. Heske is a physician-scientist at the Pediatric Oncology Branch, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. After completing her undergraduate work at Harvard University, she received her M.D. from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2008. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Brown University/Hasbro Children’s Hospital, followed by her fellowship training at the combined National Cancer Institute-Johns Hopkins University Pediatric Hematology and Oncology program, where she served as Chief Fellow. She is board-certified in General Pediatrics (2011) and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (2015). Her laboratory and clinical research focus on novel therapeutic agents for pediatric sarcomas, including rhabdomyosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma.
Juan C. Vasquez is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Yale University School of Medicine. He is also the Associate Program Director of the Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology Fellowship. He received his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He won the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Scholar Hope Grant, American Cancer Society-Yale Cancer Center Pilot Grant, Castle Connolly Top Doctor, K08 Career Development Award, etc. He specializes in pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
