Dr. Doan Quang
Tri graduated with a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from DaYeh University,
Taiwan. He was a forecaster at the National Center for Hydro-meteorological
Forecasting (NCHMF) in Vietnam during 2015-2017. He works as the Deputy
Director of Information and Data Center and Acting Editor-in-Chief at Journal
of Hydro-Meteorology, Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration.
Assoc. Prof. Tri is the author of eighty papers published in journals,
international, and domestic conferences, six monographs and reference books, and two
book chapters.
His major research interests include
environmental management, oil spills, environmental impact assessment, water
quality, river and ocean hydrodynamics, coastal change, hydrometeorology,
drought, flood and inundation forecasting and warning, MRV, and climate change.
Mr.
Nguyen Vinh Thu graduated with a master of space sciences and applications from
the University of Sciences and Technology of Hanoi (USTH). He is currently the
Director of National Centre for the Hydro-Meteorological Network (NCN), Vietnam
Meteorological and Hydrological Administration. Before moving to the NCN, he was a
weather forecaster at the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting
from 1995 to 2016. He has over 25 experience years working in the fields of
weather forecasting, meteorological satellites, and weather radar applications.
He has led five projects and authored and co-authored some scientific
publications in both international and national journals and conferences.
Bui
Thi Khanh Hoa graduated with a master's degree from the National University of
Hanoi, Vietnam. She is currently working as a meteorological forecaster at the
National Centre for Hydrological and Meteorological Network in Vietnam. With 13
years of experience, she specializes in handling various types of weather radar
data, satellite imagery, surface observations, and weather forecasting. Her
research mainly focuses on QPE (Quantitative Precipitation Estimation) and QPF
(Quantitative Precipitation Forecast) using radar and satellite data, as well
as the quality assessment and quality control of meteorological observations in
Vietnam.
Dr.
Hoang Anh Nguyen-Thi received a Ph.D. degree from Tokyo Metropolitan
University, Japan. Her research topics are tropical cyclone rainfall, weather
forecasting, and analyzing upper-air data. She has authored and co-authored
more than 20 journals and international and domestic conferences. She has
also participated in numerous projects related to weather radar, ozonesonde
observation in Vietnam, and cooperative projects with Japan.
Dr.
Vo Van Hoa graduated with a Ph.D. in Meteorology and Climate from Ha Noi
College of Science, Vietnam. He was a researcher at the National Center for
Hydro-meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) in Vietnam during 2002-2014. He works
on the Editor Board at the Vietnam Journal of Hydrometeorology, Vietnam
Meteorological and Hydrological Administration. Assoc. Dr. Hoa is the author of
more than 50 papers published in journals and international and domestic
conferences. His major research interests include numerical weather prediction
models, data assimilation, model output statistics, and ensemble forecasts.
Le
Thi Hue graduated with a master's degree from Ha Noi College of Science, Vietnam. She is currently working as a hydrological forecaster at the Northern
delta and Midland regional hydro-meteorological Centre in Vietnam during
2006-2024. She has over 18 years of experience working in the fields of
hydrological forecasting and hydro-models. She has led one project and
authored and co-authored some scientific publications.
Dao
Tien Dat graduated with an engineering degree from the Water Resources University,
and he is studying for a master's degree at this school in Vietnam. He is
currently working as a hydrological forecaster at the Northern Delta and
Midland Regional Hydro-Meteorological Center. With 19 years of experience, he
is an expert in the field of water level forecasting, discharge forecasting,
etc. He can use the hydro-model fluently. He has authored and co-authored
some scientific publications.
