Laurence Shiva Sundar is a Lecturer in the Department of Crop Production at the College of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (CAFF), Fiji National University (FNU). His academic journey led him to the Department of Tropical Agriculture and International Cooperation at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, R.O.C., where he earned his Master's degree in Crop Physiology. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Agronomy from the same institute. His research portfolio encompasses a wide range of interests, including crop production and physiology, soil science, sustainable agriculture, and climate change adaptation. He has published several research papers in reputed international journals, contributing significantly to the field of Agronomy.
Kuei-Shan Yen is a senior student in the Department of Plant Industry of National Pintung University of Science and Technology. He is currently involved in a project on the " Effect of photosynthetic bacteria treatment on rice yield." The research results have been published in the Plants and titled " Foliar application of Rhodopseudomonas palustris enhances the rice crop growth and yield under field conditions.
Yao-Tsung Chang is an Associate Researcher at
the Kaohsiung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, a part of
Taiwan's Ministry of Agriculture. His professional journey includes a time as a
Technician at the Kaohsiung County Government Agricultural Bureau and a role as
an Assistant Researcher at the Soil and Fertilizer Research Office. Currently,
he leads the Soil and Fertilizer Research Laboratory as its Director. His expertise
lies in several areas, including the research and development of biological
fertilizers, improvement of farmland soil fertility, monitoring of crop
pollution, and management of crop fertilizer application and nutritional
diagnosis. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he has also made
significant contributions to the Chinese Soil and Fertilizer Society in Taiwan,
serving as the Director for both the 20th and the ongoing 21st sessions.
Yun-Yang Chao graduated from National Taiwan University. He obtained PhD and M.S degree in National Taiwan University, Department of Agronomy. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow also in National Taiwan University; he executed and finished several projects, and published a lot of researches in nutrition deficiency and cadmium toxicity in rice seedlings. Presently he is working as a professor in Department of Plant Industry, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. Until now, he still has published several research papers in reputed international journals and research interest filed inculd crop production and management, crop stress physiology, nutrition deficiency, heavy metal toxicity and biofiterlizers.
