Author Biographies

Ernest Kostenko completed the veterinary medicine program at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in 2019 with a degree. Following the successful completion of his degree, he began a multifaceted professional journey that included academic pursuits, clinical practice, and developing research. In his capacity as a lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Vilniaus Kolegija (Higher Education Institution), he offers his extensive knowledge and expertise to aspiring veterinarian assistants. Simultaneously, Ernest utilizes his knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine to provide services at a nearby veterinary clinic, thus actively contributing to the improvement of animal welfare and health. In 2019, Ernest initiated his scholarly pursuits by enrolling in the doctoral program in mechanical engineering at Vilnius Tech. His research is focused on the biomechanical characteristics of the canine lumbar spine and the risk of bone fractures in canines. By applying engineering principles to the advancement of veterinary medicine, he demonstrates his commitment to progress through this innovative interdisciplinary approach. Ernest's research has the potential to establish novel diagnostic and therapeutic methodologies within the domain of veterinary medicine.
