Francisco Ríos earned, from the University of Granada, a BS in Chemcial Engineering (2009) and
a PhD in Chemical Engineering (2014). He is now Professor at
the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of
Granada. His research interests cover fields related to the
environmental impact of surfactants, nanoparticles, nanomaterials,
microplastics and microfibers.
Juan Francisco Martínez Gallegos earned a MSc in Chemical Engineering (1999) and a PhD from the University of Granada (2005). He was granted with a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre for Biological and Chemical Engineering of the Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal) in 2006. Since 2007 he has worked as professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Granada, currently being Associate Professor. He belongs to the research group Interfaces Engineering and Biochemical Technology, pursuing research primarily in the field of physico-chemical characterization of surfactants, enzymatic-based ecological detergent formulations and cleaning processes, ozone-based advanced oxidation cleaning and reduction of microfibers and microplastics environmental impact.
