Felipe Anchieta e Silva received his B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2019 from Faculdades Oswaldo Cruz and his M.Sc. in Nanotechnology Engineering in 2021 from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Rio de Janeiro , under the supervision of Professors Thenner Silva Rodrigues, José Carlos Pinto e Argimiro Secchi. He has received the Kurt Politzer Technology Award from the Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (ABIQUIM) twice, in 2018 and 2022. His research interests revolve around the synthesis of metal nanostructures and metal oxides with controlled shapes, focusing on applications in catalysis and photocatalysis.
Thenner Silva Rodrigues received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry in 2010 and 2013, respectively, both from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (Brazil). He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) in 2017, under the supervision of Prof. Pedro Camargo. He was a visiting student in Prof. Younan Xia's group at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA) from February 2015 to March 2016. In 2018, he was hired as an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. His research interests are focused on the synthesis of metal nanostructures and metal oxides with controlled shapes for catalytic and photocatalytic applications.
