Dr. Elia Armellini is a Gastroenterologist at the Policlinico San Matteo-Pavia, Ospedali Riuniti of Bergamo, Humanitas Gavazzeni. He graduated from the University of Pavia in 1998 and subsequently specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy in the same institution with top marks in 2004. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in national and international journals. At Bolognini since 2019, after having gained various work experiences also outside the region, Dr. Elia Armellini deals with various pathologies of the digestive system (GERD, diverticulosis, peptic ulcers, neoplasms), with particular attention to the benign and malignant pathologies of the colon, biliary system, gallbladder, and pancreas. In addition to the traditional endoscopic techniques of the Gastroenterologist (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, removal of polyps, treatment of bleeding or obstructions), he routinely performs echoendoscopy (combination of ultrasound and endoscopies), ERCP, and ultrasound with particular attention to the study of the intestinal loops, liver, and pancreas.
