Author Biographies

Dr. Vitalii Kolesnyk is a senior lecturer at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines, and Tools at Sumy State University. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Manufacturing Engineering at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" in 2016 and has been awarded a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering. He recently led the project “Development of a smoke-automated control for the protection of evacuation vehicles and mobile posts”. He has published 25 papers in various journals, 12 in SciVers Scopus and Web of Science, and serves as a voluntary reviewer for MDPI. His teaching disciplines include mathematical modeling of manufacturing processes, project management, and experimental methods in manufacturing engineering, and his interests include machining CFRP/Ti alloy stacks, measuring cutting temperature, and ensuring quality and accuracy during machining.
Dr. Marcel Kuruc is an Associate Professor at the Department of Machining and Computer-Aided Technologies at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Mechanical Engineering Technologies and Materials at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in 2015, and he was habilitated as an associate professor in 2021. He participated in 21 research projects, like “Research of unique unconventional methods of preparation of cutting-edge microgeometry to increase cutting tool performance and machining productivity”. He currently leads the Horizon project “STAGE”. He has published 68 papers (with 165 citations) in various journals and serves as a guest reviewer for MDPI. His H-index in the Scopus is 7. His teaching disciplines include machining theory, CAD/CAM, and computer-aided production technologies, and his interests include rotary ultrasonic machining, advanced machining technologies, five-axis machining, CAD/CAM, generative design, and reverse engineering. He supervised 28 diploma theses and 36 bachelor theses.
Dr. Ivan Dehtiarov is an associate professor at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines, and Tools at Sumy State University. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Manufacturing Engineering at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" in 2017 and has been awarded a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering. He led the project “Design of a robotic platform for the control of small arms”. He has published 17 papers in various journals and serves as a reviewer for the DSME Conference. His teaching disciplines include machining theory and opening computer-aided production technologies, and his interests include advanced machining technologies, five-axis machining, CAD/CAM, reverse engineering, fixture design, and verification.
Dr. Anna Neshta is a senior lecturer at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines, and Tools at Sumy State University. She completed her Ph.D. studies in Manufacturing Engineering at the National Technical University of Ukraine, “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, in 2019 and has been awarded a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering. She participates in the project “Design of a robotic platform for the control of small arms”. She has published 11 papers in various journals. Her teaching disciplines include manufacturing engineering, work processes of high technologies, and cutting theory, and her interests include additive technologies, workpiece production, machining, optimization of manufacturing processes, thread machining, and engineering education.
Mr. Serhii Avramenko received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Sumy State University in 2021 and is now purchasing a Ph.D. in Material Science. He worked as an engineering assistant at the Experimental Research Student Institute (2016–2017). His research topics mainly include materials machining, mechanical properties, materials technology, and material characteristics.
Mr. Vitalii Kononovych received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Sumy State University in 2020 and is now purchasing a Ph.D. in Material Science. He worked as an engineering assistant at the Experimental Research Student Institute (2015–2016). His research topics include material machining, mechanical properties, material technology, and material characteristics.
Dr. Oksana Dynnyk is a senior lecturer at the Classical Professional College of Sumy State University. She completed her Ph.D. studies in standardization, certification, and methodological support at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy in 2014 and has been awarded a Ph.D. in standardization, certification, and methodological support. She has published 50 papers in various journals. Her teaching disciplines include the technological basics of mechanical engineering, technological methods of production of machine part blanks, draft geometry, and engineering graphics, and his interests include metrology, information and measuring equipment, engineering, and computer-aided design.
Dr. Andrii Dovhopolov is a senior lecturer at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines, and Tools at Sumy State University. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Dynamics and Strength of Machines at Sumy State University in 2019 and has been awarded a Ph.D. in Dynamics and Strength of Machines. He has published 13 papers in various journals. His teaching disciplines include the technological basics of mechanical engineering, technological methods of production of machine part blanks, draft geometry, and engineering graphics, and his interests include composite materials, engineering technology, high-performance machining, the connection of fiber-reinforced plastics, and strength.
Mr. Serhii Lemekh received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sumy State University in 2011 and is now purchasing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He works as a director at the Lemax LDT (2013–present time). His research topics mainly include materials machining, mechanical properties, materials technology, and material characteristics.
Mr. Roman Titskyi received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sumy State University in 2012 and is now purchasing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He works as a wood board machine operator at the Beieve LLC (2014–present time). His research topics mainly include materials machining, mechanical properties, materials technology, and material characteristics.
