Dr. Angeles Aroca is an assistant professor in Plant Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universidad de Sevilla, where she became a Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher. She also had a postdoctoral stay at Iowa State University, majoring in Genetics, Development, and Cell Biology. She holds a Doctorate from the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering, Polytechnic University of Madrid. Her research interests include redox regulation in Arabidopisis by S-sulfhydration or persulfidation, posttranslational modifications, hydrogen sulfide signaling, and cysteine metabolism.

Prof. Cecilia Gotor is a Research Professor from the National Research Council (CSIC) at the Institute of Plant Biochemistry and Photosynthesis (IBVF), Spanish National Research Council and University of Seville. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has had postdoctoral stays in the USA, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Rutgers State University. She has a long and solid experience in plant sulfur metabolism and leads a research group focused on the study of the biosynthesis and metabolism of cysteine and, in recent years, on plant signaling by molecules related to cysteine, mainly the intracellular signaling by hydrogen sulfide. Her research group has been a pioneer in deciphering the mechanisms of action of hydrogen sulfide in plants through the post-translational modification of persulfidation.
Prof. José M Palma is a Full Research Professor at the Department of Stress, Development and Signaling in Plants, and Head of the Group of Antioxidants, Free Radicals and Nitric Oxide in Biotechnology, Food and Agriculture at the Estación Experimental del Zaidín, Spanish National Research Council (EEZ, CSIC), Granada, Spain. In 1988, he received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Granada. His research interests include agricultural and biological sciences, fruit ripening, antioxidants, peroxisomes, and omics.
FJ Corpas research focuses on ROS and RNS metabolism under physiology and environmental stress conditions. Particular interest is its implications in fruit ripening and in the nitro-oxidative metabolism of plant peroxisomes.
