Author Biographies

Katarzyna Sala received her Engineer's degree in Materials Engineering from the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at the Cracow University of Technology in 2023. She is currently conducting research in the SMART-MAT Functional Materials Science Club. Her research topics mainly include the development and characterization of advanced materials, with a focus on smart materials and their applications in various fields.
Magdalena Bańkosz received her Engineer's degree in 2018 and her Master's degree in 2019, both from the Cracow University of Technology. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at the Cracow University of Technology. Since 2024, she has been employed as an Assistant at the same faculty. Her research topics mainly include the development and characterization of advanced biomaterials, with a focus on innovative materials engineering applications.
Hubert Placek is a student at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at the Cracow University of Technology. He is currently conducting research in the Functional Materials Group Smart-Mat, focusing on the topic of biomaterials. His research interests include the development and application of advanced biomaterials for medical and industrial use.
Julia Sztrumpf is a student at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at the Cracow University of Technology. She is currently conducting research in the Functional Materials Group Smart-Mat, focusing on the topic of biomaterials. Her research interests include the development and application of advanced biomaterials for medical and industrial use. 
Magdalena Kędzierska has been working as a Senior Assistant at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Łódź since December 2017, bringing over six years of experience to this role. Concurrently, she has been serving as an Assistant Lecturer at the Medical University of Łódź on a part-time basis since December 2012, where she has contributed to both academic and clinical training for over eleven years. Her educational background and professional experience have equipped her with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of oncology and biochemistry, contributing significantly to her roles in clinical practice and academic settings.
Bożena Tyliszczak received her PhD in Chemical Technology from the from the Cracow University of Technology.  In 2019, she was promoted to Associate Professor at the same institution. Her research topics mainly include hydrogel matrices, biomaterials, drug delivery systems and functional materials. She  has a particular interest in developing advanced biomaterials for controlled drug release and designing functional materials with unique properties for various applications.
