Dr. Rishi Puri, MD, PhD, FRACP is an interventional cardiologist in the Section of Invasive & Interventional Cardiology in the Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. He specializes in non-surgical, catheter-based treatment for diseases of the heart blood vessels, heart valves and congenital heart disease. He sees patients at Cleveland Clinic's main campus. Dr. Puri obtained his medical degree in his native country of Australia from the University of Adelaide, South Australia. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship in cardiology, all at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, and his PhD in medicine/cardiology at the University of Adelaide. Dr. Puri served a 2-year fellowship in the Cleveland Clinic Atherosclerosis Imaging Core Laboratory, directed this laboratory for a further 18 months and then relocated to Canada to pursue subspecialty training as a fellow in interventional and structural heart disease at the Québec Heart and Lung Institute, Québec City, Québec. He furthered his experience in transcatheter structural heart interventions as a visiting interventional cardiologist and structural interventional fellow at institutions in France, Australia and Switzerland before returning to Cleveland to join the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2018.

Dr. Ghassan S. Kassab is Chairman of the Board and Institute Professor at the California Medical Innovations Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California San Diego in 1990 (Summa Cum Laude). Dr. Kassab previously served as the Thomas  J. Linnemeier Guidant Foundation Chair and Professor in Biomedical  Engineering, Professor in Surgery, Cellular and Integrative Physiology at Indiana/Purdue University. He has been the recipient of the NIH Young Investigator Award, the AHA Established Investigator Award, the Farriborz Maseeh Best Research Award, the Abraham M. Max Distinguished Professor Award, the Eminent Engineer Award of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, Indiana’s President Circle Award and Glenn Irwin, MD Chancellor Best Research Scholar Award. He is also a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, the American Physiological Society Cardiovascular Section and the American Venous Forum. His areas of interest include the biomechanics of the cardiovascular and gastrointestinal systems and medical devices.
