Prof. Dr. Rossella Elisei is an Associate Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Pisa. She is an expert clinician mainly involved in the management of thyroid cancer patients. She obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1985 from the University of Pisa and a specialization in Endocrinology from the same University in 1988. Dr. Elisei has received numerous international awards: the Light of Life Foundation for the best thyroid cancer researcher of 2011, the 2018 European Thyroid Association award as a distinguished scientist in the Thyroid research field, and the JCEM award for the best clinical paper 2006, 2012, 2015, and 2016. Dr. Elisei is the author of 220 papers published in peer-reviewed Journals, 55 manuscripts in proceedings of meetings and book chapters, as well as more than 300 abstracts for national and international meetings. She also serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and holds memberships in several professional associations. She is the PI of several clinical trials for new target therapy in advanced thyroid cancer.
