Dr. Tim Takken earned, from the Free University Amsterdam, a M.Sc. in exercise physiology (1998) and a Ph.D. in medicine (2003). He is now an associate professor at the Child Development & Exercise Center of the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital, Utrecht, the Netherlands. His work in physical activity and exercise has resulted in 380 peer-reviewed publications and many invited lectures. His research interests include pediatric exercise physiology and clinical exercise physiology.
