Dr. Mohammad Fotouhi
is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Structural Health Monitoring
at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Delft University of
Technology. From 2019–2021, he worked at the University of Glasgow. From
2017–2019, he served as a Lecturer at the University of the West of England. He
received the MSc and PhD from the Amirkabir University of Technology, in 2011
and 2015, respectively. His research focuses on the development of structural
health monitoring techniques for engineering structures. This involves the
development of sensor nodes that are cheap, low-power, and reliable.
Furthermore, the focus is on the development of lightweight/smart bio-inspired
structures, 4D-printed self-morphing structures and multi-functional materials.
The techniques are applied to develop materials that are lightweight, more
durable, sustainable, and self-sensing.
