Greg Forehand is the Co-Director of the Child, Youth, and Family Team for the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI). Dr. Forehand’s research is centered on family preservation and kinship caregiving for children and youth at risk of child welfare involvement. His current work focuses on state and local implementation of evidence-based practices and Kinship Navigator programs under the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA). Dr. Forehand currently works with the Florida Department of Children and Families evaluating the implementation of its FFPSA Prevention Services Plan and the Colorado Department of Human Services in developing, implementing, and evaluating its FFPSA Kinship Navigator program, Colorado Kinnected. He also directed the evaluation of Colorado’s Title IV-E Waiver Demonstration Project from 2013-18 and worked with the Ohio Department of Job & Family Service on the evaluation of its Title IV-E Waiver Demonstration programs. Dr. Forehand is a long-standing member of HSRI’s Equity Review Board. Prior to his current work, he provided Brief Strategic Family Therapy and Multisystemic Therapy to youth and families at risk for juvenile justice involvement.
