Dr. Albert T. Anastasio is currently fourth-year orthopedic surgery resident physician at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. He graduated from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, in 2015 with a BA and from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2019 with an MD. He is currently involved in numerous projects related to foot and ankle surgery, from basic sciences and translational investigation to clinical research. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and, along with his research teams, has presented over 60 posters and podium presentations at national and international conferences. He is a junior member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the recipient of numerous awards for his research involvement throughout the field. His research interests are broad, but areas of consistent interest are opioid reduction strategies across orthopedic subspecialties and outcomes after various procedures such as laminoplasty and quad tendon ACL repair.
