Prof. Tao Shang currently serves as a Professor at Xidian University. He received his BSc and MSc degrees in Physical Electronics and Optoelectronics from Huazhong University of Science and
Technology in 1994 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetic Fields and Microwaves from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2006. His research interests mainly include photonic devices and integration, optical communications, intelligent information processing, digital twin technology for next-generation information, and communication systems and ocean information sensing.
Prof. Rongqing Zhang is now an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Software, Tongji University. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Engineering degrees from the School of Information Science and Technology of Peking University in 2009 and 2014, respectively, and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Colorado State University from September 2014 to December 2018. He has been selected as one of the top 2% scientists in the world in the annual list for many consecutive years since 2020, and has been awarded the first prize of the Science and Technology Award (Natural Science Category) of the Chinese Society of Communication in 2023, the first prize of Natural Science Award of the Chinese Society of Automation in 2023, and the first prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education in 2017, among other prizes. Currently, he serves as the Secretary General of the Specialized Committee on Net-connected Intelligence of the Chinese Society of Automation and as an Editorial Board Member (Associate Editor) of the international authoritative SCI journals IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and IET Communications. His research interests mainly include telematics, intelligent transportation, multi-intelligence collaboration, and networked intelligence.
