Prof. María Victoria Navarta Sánchez graduated in Nursing from University of Malaga in 2008, earned a Master’s degree in Nursing Sciences from University of Navarra in 2010, and a PhD degree in Nursing Sciences from University of Navarra in 2015 with an International Doctorate mention and outstanding Cum Laude qualification. Since 2019, she has been teaching as an Assistant Professor at the Autonomous University of Madrid. She has been active in research since 2021. Her experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions within the framework of Health Prevention and Promotion and the study of chronic diseases such as Parkinson’s stands out. She is currently the Principal Investigator of the Spanish Team in the European OPTIM-PARK Project focused on the optimization of social-health services and community resources to improve coexistence with Parkinson's disease in the community setting through a multisectoral intervention. Additionally, she is part of the Nursing and Health Care Research Group of the Puerta de Hierro-Segovia de Arana Health Research Institute (IDIPHISA) and the “Long-Term Conditions” research group at the University of Southampton.
